WordCamp Canada 2025 will be hosted in the Richcraft Hall Atrium and Conference Rooms at Carleton University in Ottawa, Ontario from October 16-17, 2025.
Canada’s capitol, the City of Ottawa is located between Toronto (500km) and Montréal (200km) on the eastern edge of Ontario. Carleton University is south of central, downtown Ottawa and is easily accessible by car from any direction of the city.
Situated on a beautiful campus bordered by the sparkling Rideau River and Canal, Carleton is just minutes from the heart of the city and enjoys easy access to the many organizations, associations and businesses which thrive in Ottawa. Many of Ontario’s leading high tech companies surround our campus where cutting-edge research joins with highly innovative teaching to solve real-life problems.
Carleton’s Campus
The 150-acre Carleton University campus is framed by two waterways — the Rideau Canal and Dow’s Lake on its northern and eastern borders and the Rideau River to the south. Confederation Heights and Massey Park lie across the river, connected to Carleton by the Rideau River pedestrian bridge.

Historic neighbourhoods, like Old Ottawa South adjoin Carleton to the east, and to the north is The Glebe. Parliament Hill, downtown Ottawa, and ByWard Market are 20-30 minutes away by public transit.

Richcraft houses Carleton’s Norman Patterson School of International Affairs, the Canada-India Centre for Excellence, the Institute of European and Eurasian Studies, the School of Public Policy and Administration, and the School of Journalism and Communications. Richcraft Hall is home to a monument of Mahatma Gandhiji.
