Volunteer Roles
We have a variety of roles available, so you can find something that suits your interests:
Event Support
- Registration desk & check-in
- Attendee guidance and wayfinding
- General on-site assistance
Session Support
- Room monitoring
- Speaker assistance
- Timekeeping support
Contributor Day Support
- Helping at contributor tables
- Supporting Table Leads
- Assisting new contributors
Community Support
- Accessibility support
- Photography / media assistance
- Helping with general attendee experience
What We Expect
We keep things simple and flexible:
- Be available during your assigned volunteer shift(s)
- Be friendly, helpful, and welcoming
- Communicate with your assigned team lead if needed
- Show up a little early for orientation (if assigned)
That’s it — we’ll guide you through the rest.
No Experience Needed
You don’t need to be a WordPress expert or have volunteered before.
We’ll provide guidance, instructions, and support so you feel comfortable in your role.
If it’s your first WordCamp – even better!
Time Commitment
Volunteer shifts are typically:
- Half-day or full-day blocks
- Assigned based on availability and preference
- Flexible wherever possible
We’ll work with your schedule to find a good fit.
