The calendar is quickly coming up on July and Canadians are gathering to celebrate important dates like National Indigenous Peoples Day, Saint-Jean-Baptiste Day and Canada Day. Throughout those festivities, good family and friends will be enjoying good food which is equally true for WordCamp Canada that will be starting hot on the heels in under 3 short weeks.
Browse through any of the photos for our venue, the Infinity Convention Centre, on their WordPress powered website or social media, and you can see that your taste buds are in for a treat! Some of our organizers got a chance to taste samples of potential menu items earlier this spring and can confirm they taste even better than they look! If anyone is on the fence about attending, or has a foodie colleague that should be interested for both content and catering, here is a sampling of the items that we have been discussing with the ICC chefs to keep your bodies nourished throughout the event. We’ve got flavours from across our great country:
- Ceasar salad bars
- Hand carved beef striploin
- Grilled atlantic salmon with maple soy glaze
- Grilled eggplant & tomato stew with garlic pita wedges
- Apple cider brined chicken supreme in parsnip cream sauce
- Baked PEI potato gnocchi with black lentil and heritage cheddar bolognese
- Thin crust pizza boards featuring Canadian, Hawaiian and Antipasto toppings
For those with a sweet tooth, you can be just as assured that you’ll be satiated with delectable desserts including
